Writers on Writers Editor Ah-reum Han‘s flash fiction, “The Last Heifer,” was published in Fiction International, for its 50th Issue.
Copy Editor Anna Aresi’s translation of Gifts & Bequests by Carol Aymar Armstrong was published on the Italian poetry blog InternoPoesia (IP). She also edited “Poetry in Translation,” the 2017 issue of Mosaici: Learned Online Journal of Italian Poetry, which went live in November.
Sarah Moses, Editor-at-Large for Argentina, translated the essay “A Sketch” by Colombian author Ricardo Silva Romero for the 100th issue of the Canadian literary journal Brick, out on December 1. Her co-translation (with Carolina Orloff) of the novella Die, My Love by Ariana Harwicz was recently put forth by Charco Press.
Editor-at-Large for Singapore Theophilus Kwek was featured alongside PEN Emerging Writer Laurel Fantauzzo at Speakeasy, a reading series hosted by poet Pooja Nansi. His collection Giving Ground was reviewed in the Singapore Review of Books, and his tribute to John Ashbery is forthcoming in PN Review.
Editor-at-Large for Australia Tiffany Tsao’s review of Eka Kurniawan’s translated novel Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash was featured in the latest issue of the Mekong Review. Her review of Gentayangan, Indonesian author and Asymptote contributor Intan Paramaditha’s latest novel, appeared in mid-November in The Jakarta Post.
Editor-in-Chief Lee Yew Leong contributed to SP Blog’s 4th Annual Book Round-up. His pick for Book of the Year is Wu He’s Remains of Life (tr. Michael Berry). Wu He, whose stream-of-consciousness writing has been compared to W. G. Sebald’s, was featured on the cover of Asymptote’s Winter 2012 Issue.
